Toyota will expand its pickup truck lineup in the Windy City.

Not to be left out of the pickup truck arms race, Toyota will reportedly unveil a new "TRD Pro" trim grade for its Tundra at next month's Chicago auto show.

Not much about the Tundra TRD Pro is known at this time, but a television commercial teasing the new truck has found its way onto YouTube. The clip only shows a few quick shots of the TRD Pro truck, but the rig appears to have a lifted suspension and blacked out features like front grille and wheels. A 'TRD Pro' badge is clearly visible on the tailgate of the truck.

Toyota is keeping the details of the new Tundra TRD Pro a secret for now, but a company representative confirmed to Auto Guide that the truck will be making its debut at the Chicago show.

Although pure speculations at this point, the TRD Pro could be Toyota's answer to the Ford Raptor. The Raptor doesn't currently have any natural rivals, but Toyota could be looking to enter the lucrative performance truck segment.

Whatever the case, expect to learn more about the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro is the days leading up to the February 6 start of the Chicago auto show.
