The redesigned Rav4 transitions to a sleeker profile with an angled liftgate glass and sloped hood.
Toyota has provided a partial glimpse of the all-new Rav4, scheduled to make a full appearance later this month in New York.
The darkened silhouette confirms the redesigned crossover will have a sleek profile with a more drastic liftgate angle and a sloped hood, perhaps blending styling elements from the current Rav4 and Toyota's small newcomer, the C-HR.
The company will presumably be cautious with making any drastic changes, as the Rav4 is still posting double-digit sales gains in the US market five years after the fourth generation arrived in showrooms.
The Rav4 now surpasses the Camry as Toyota's best-selling nameplate, with sales reaching nearly 408,000 units in the US last year.
