2008 Dodge Challenger details (Update #2)

Yesterday, we brought you some great new images of the forthcoming 2008 Dodge Challenger, expected to debut in concept form at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, January 14-22. UPDATE: MPH Magazine has informed us that the cover scan we published at 12:00 this afternoon was a mockup for a forthcoming issue of the magazine, not a finalized cover. The pricing and horsepower details for the 2008 Challenger that appeared on that cover were not official, but rather guesstimates that will not be confirmed until a later date. The magazine expects to have more accurate details ready for publication in early Janaury, when the February issue will be published. The leaked magazine cover suggested the Challenger would go on sale as a 2008 model with prices starting at $28,000. While Chrysler has not publicly committed to building the Challenger, most industry analysts believe the company will announce plans to build the car if public reaction is positive. In November, the first spy shots of the new Challenger appeared online and in several magazines.
