Should Ford finally bring the Euro Focus stateside?

Henry Ford once said, "you can't build a reputation on what you are going to do."? Accordingly, many critics recently complained that Ford's "Way Forward" plan, announced last week, provided no specific plans for innovation. With that in mind, AutoWeek takes a look at some concrete moves Ford could make to improve its position in the U.S. market. Number one on that list is bringing the European C1 Ford Focus to the U.S. market. "Ford didn't bring the new European Focus to the United States, deeming the new, smaller Mazda 3-based platform too expensive. Instead Americans were told we could keep the old platform, which, like most stale products, grows staler by the day [...] Bringing the C1 Focus here is a move Ford should be able to pull off quickly."
