Lincoln MKZ to star in new Kanye West video

The Lincoln MKZ -- formerly the Lincoln Zephyr -- will have a starring role in rapper Kanye West's next music video, according to the Detroit News. The new single, "Drive Slow," also features "king of the parking lot" Paul Wall. West briefly mentions Lincoln in his first verse in the song, so perhaps the product placement will not seem entirely contrived. Meanwhile, Wall proudly plugs his CL Mercedes in his verse. American automakers are increasingly turning to hip-hop artists for help with promoting their vehicles. Ford apparently is hoping an endorsement by West and Wall will help steal some thunder from the Chrysler 300C, which has been a massive hit in the hip-hop community.
