Honda's new V10 confirmed for 2008

Honda said on Saturday that it is considering building its first Japanese factory since 1976 to make power trains or assemble cars, reports Bloomberg. On Friday, Nikkei English News said the plant will be used to build new VTEC motors and a V10 engine for sports cars, coming as soon as 2008. Honda is widely expected to unveil a V10-based NSX successor in the 2008 to 2009 timeframe. According to a recent Auto Motor und Sport report, the new Honda/Acura NSX will move upmarket, and will target Aston Martin.
