BMW Z4 Coupe production begins

Production of the BMW Z4 Coupe and M Series Z4 Coupe began today, according to a statement issued by the company today. The Z4 and M Coupes will be available in dealerships in early summer. As with the Z4 Roadster and X5 Sports Activity Vehicle, all Z4 and M Coupes will be built exclusively at BMW Manufacturing, the company's only U.S. manufacturing facility in Upstate South Carolina. The coupes, which have been much anticipated by BMW enthusiasts, were unveiled earlier this year in Geneva and will be shown at the New York Auto Show later this month. The vehicles are based on the newly updated BMW Z4 Roadster that has an engine that produces 255 horsepower and promises superior agility and high performance.
