Mazda planning MX-5 MPS?

Mazda is said to be planning a high-performance MPS version of its MX-5 Miata roadster. According to AutoCar magazine, the car could have up to 265 horsepower via a 2.3-litre turbo engine or even a turbo'd version of the existing motor. Mazda is widely believed to be planning a folding hardtop-convertible version of the car, according to reports from AutoWeek and AutoBild. With the new folding-hardtop model expected this summer, it seems possible that the new MPS model would arrive at the same time.
