  4. Very nice. Can’t wait for the Scirocco to debut. All it needs are to adjust some of the curves, maybe make it a little boxier, and put in a more conventional interior.

Anyone know if the twin-charger engine will be offered as one of the optional engines?

  5. Disappointing that such a beautiful design has to share the EOS drivetrain architecture.

  12. whats with VW and huge grills. lately it seems they are obsessed with ithis design. Apart from the cheap lookin grill I think the car looks sexy. the vertical slash and the heahlamps give it an angry pissed off look. rear looks too conservative.

  14. im at work and cant hear the video…how does the twincharger sound? they might have trouble selling at 25k with that engine. the GTI has more hp and costs less. Maybe an 18k Scirocco with the TSI with 170hp. then the 2.0T with 230hp for 23k

  16. The more I look at it the less the roof line bothers me. The front end however, only gets worse. Its to sloppy, all angles with no tension.

  18. After Chrysler stole the new headlamp style off VW the designers had to come up with a new front end and fast. They must be praying that people don’t mistake the bew Sebring for a VW. Or maybe Chrysler did that on purpose to ruin VW.

  19. Personally I’m very over spending any more than $12,000 for a front wheel drive car– ESPECIALLY if that car is supposed to be about performance driving. Everything about this vehicle is lovely! EXCEPT the front wheel drive, which kills everything for me.

  20. More German crap spewed all over a GM fansite… yay. And one that rips off the legendary IROC-Z too.

  21. Great piece of automotive history. Tell me a car that is this exotic looking, and is not a supercar manufacturer.
As for the IROC name, it is the International Race Of Champions, and the name IROC appears in the name scIROCco, so I can see how they would consider it a good choice for a concept that will only be around for a few months before the pre-production model comes out.
It will have the twin-charger and the top Scirocco GTI model will have VW 4-motion all wheel drive to give the drivers that rear wheel drive feeling. Come on people, if VW doesn’t do this right, then the new models which are supposed to coincide with the revamped dealerships will surely cause an uprise if VW doesn’t get this car right.
And if they don’t, then there’s a CORRADO coming after the Scirocco’s life cycle. And as the past dictates, the Corrado is one of the top 25 cars you must drive before you die. It’s an epic line of models that VW has to get just right, let’s hope they do it for the people and the drivers out there.
