Almost there: 2008 BMW 3-series cabrio nearly undisguised

Spy photographers caught some very clear photos of the forthcoming 2008 BMW 3-Series convertible (E93) today. The car is visible with the less disguise than ever before, and we now have a very clear good of how the finished product will look on the road. Some camo remains on the taillights and side windows.

As one would expect, it will be powered by the same engines as the coupe, and equipped with a retractable steel roof that folds completely into the trunk. Rumors over the past several months have indicated an M3 convertible might not be offered due to weight issues with the roof. The current convertible will continue to be built until the end of this year, with an expected total of 270,000 units built and sold. The new 3-series convertible will hit European showrooms in March 2007, and reach America shortly afterwards. Gallery after the jump...
