Report: Nissan will produce 350Z GT-S

Nissan will put the 350Z GT-S into limited production, according to a report by Britain's AutoExpress magazine. The car was first unveiled in June as a concept, though Nissan hinted it could see production. The GT-S features a supercharger, bringing output to 382 horsepower from the regular 300 hp. Accordingly, zero to 60 mph takes just 4.8 seconds instead of the usual 5.8. The supercharger will reportedly have an on/off switch.

Buyers in the U.K. will reportedly pay Ã'£36,000 when the car goes on sale later this year. The standard 350Z Gt costs Ã'£24,000, meaning the GT-S will be about 50 percent more expensive. Considering a U.S base price of around $27,000, we suspect U.S. pricing would be around $40,000 for the GT-S. However, that has been no confirmation of U.S. availability.
