Alpine shows off track-oriented, luxe versions of A110

The A110 Pure and A110 Legende are revealed ahead of their Geneva debut.

Alpine has revealed two versions of its A110 sports car before its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show this month.

The Alpine A110 Pure, shown in white in the official photos, is a minimalist track-oriented version, akin to the Porsche Cayman Clubsport. It will be stripped of all non-essential equipment for weight savings, though specifics are not known yet.

On the other side of the spectrum is the Alpine A110 Legende, shown in gray in the official images. Designed for customers who prize luxury over all-out performance, they come with leather, 6-way Sabelt seats, and carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin.

Neither the Pure nor the Legende add anything in the way of performance. Both still utilize the 1.8-liter turbo four shared with the Renault Megane RS. In the Alpine, however, the 249-horsepower, 236 lb-ft mill is mounted midship, with power output to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

There are also plans for an even more hardcore 300-horsepower version, also scheduled for Geneva, but so far there have been no details. The Geneva Motor Show opens March 6.
