Porsche 911 GT3 RS laps Nurburgring in 6:56 [Video]

Kévin Estre shaved 24 seconds off his best lap in the previous GT3 RS model.

Porsche has released an onboard video from the new 911 GT3 RS' Nurburgring lap.

With 520 horsepower on tap and Porsche works driver Kévin Estre behind the wheel, the new GT3 RS launched around the Nordschleife circuit in 6:56.4.

"No other Porsche model gets as close to racing as the new GT3 RS," says Porsche's VP of motorsport and GT cars, Frank Steffen Walliser.

The 911 GT3 RS is now the third Porsche road car with a notarized lap time of under seven minutes, following the 918 Spyder and 911 GT2 RS.
