New 2007 Mercedes CL-Class spied

Spy photographers recently caught the next-generation Mercedes-Benz CL-Class with moderate camouflage in testing. The new photos, available on German automotive site AutoWereld, provide a good look at the new CL from all angles. The 2007 CL has been photographed before, but these images are far more revealing that past shots. The car’s roofline is shown very clearly, as is the overall shape of the car. The design appears to take a combination of elements from the Mercedes CLS and new S-Class. It features a taillight design similar to that of the S-Class, and a roofline reminiscent of the CLS. Unlike the CLS, however, this car has only two doors, and has no b-pillar, making it appear even more striking from the side. The tail of this prototype appears to follow Mercedes’ recent design language implemented on the S- and CLS-Class. Some time ago, AutoBild released an artist’s rendering of the 2007 CL. It looks like that prediction is turning out to be fairly accurate.
